Dublin City Council Culture Company is seeking applications for the position of Manager, Tenement Museum Dublin.
Dublin City Council is developing a landmark public venue at No.14 Henrietta Street, celebrating the history of Dublin’s urban living and tenement life in the heart of Ireland’s capital city, due to open in 2018.
The Tenement Museum Dublin will be dedicated to the understanding of the history of urban life and housing in Ireland by exploring the lives and the stories of the people who lived at 14 Henrietta Street, with particular focus on those who lived in the building when it was tenement housing.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic cultural leader to spearhead the Museum’s public development and growth through creative and strategic management. The Manager of Tenement Museum Dublin will be charged with safeguarding this major conservation and adaptive reuse project, consolidating a strong audience development ethos at the heart of this incredible building and integrating the museum into the cultural and touristic life of the city.
This is a specified purpose contract full time for 3 years. An appointment will be made in the salary range of €55,800 – €60,322 commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
